Grandbaggers

Interested in learning to shoot paper matches? Interested in improving your USPSA scores? How about just shooting a low-key, fun match?

Action Shooting 101 is for you!

The focus of Action Shooting 101 is to practice and improve shooting skills fundamental to Action Shooting competition and is geared to the moderately to highly experienced competition shooter.

While Action Shooting 101 stages will be simple, they will not necessarily be easy.

Because there will be moderate to advanced gun handling required you must have a classification with a recognized Action Shooting organization such as USPSA, IDPA, or ICORE, or you must have a Tuesday Night Steel Classification of “D” or higher.

Other match experience such as Her Handgun matches or a class with Rob Leatham or certain other training may also qualify you at the match directors discretion.

This match is not intended for someone who has never competed in an Action Shooting match or never completed a course specifically designed to learn Action Shooting competition.

Each match will consist of 4 to 5 stages that are a mix of paper and steel stages designed to help you refine the skills needed to help improve your match scores and feel more confident taking the next steps in your shooting evolution. The matches will require no more than 100 rounds to complete.

Each stage will feature a specific skill needed to successfully compete. Skills such as picking a gun up off a table, shooting strong hand or weak hand unsupported or transitioning between shooting positions.

Come join us the first Thursday of each month. Sign-ups will begin at 3:00 p.m. and final sign-ups at 7:00 p.m.
